Manitoba cites climate for cancelling print subs

The policy, introduced in Fall 2019, has been criticized by the Manitoba Community Newspapers Association, which pointed out that newspapers in the province run free, sponsored and paid educational programs in schools, providing teachers with hard copies to use for lessons. A spokesperson for Manitoba’s French schools also pointed out that up to 20% of families in the school division don’t have access to the internet at home.
