Halifax
magazine is brandishing a new look. Editor Trevor Adams describes the design by Beth Muzzerall as "a cleaner, more urban aesthetic, reflecting our focus on the city and its stories."

AirdrieLife is celebrating 10 years with a 120-page fall anniversary issue, up from the regular 96. Fans can also visit the mag's website for full digital editions of past issues.

East Coast Living presents Dine By Design East in October, highlighting the work of Halifax designers and chefs. Blank plywood spaces will become designer dining rooms open Oct. 2-6, and food samples from local chefs will be served at a gala Oct. 3.

 
Westworld Alberta
launched its iPad edition, free to members of the Alberta Motor Association or $9.99 per year for non-member subscribers. The first edition is now available at the iTunes store.

Avenue editors Ricky Zayshley and Jaelyn Molyneux will be part of the Calgary Home + Design Show this weekend. Zayshley is presenting his 'Favourite Things' and promises giveaways by the handful. Molyneux will have a handcrafted design piece up for auction. 

The September issue of Vice is a compilation of missives and materials from the archives of Bob Guccione Sr., the late magazine publisher behind Penthouse, Omni and others. It includes an excerpt from an unpublished memoir, scattered letters and photographs, editorial illustrations and heavily redacted profiles of rejected Penthouse Pets.
