The Writers’ Guild of Alberta (WGA), a provincial arts service organization that represents professional and emerging writers in Alberta, is seeking writers to join its awards juries. Deadline is September 18, 2026. In 2027, the WGA will present awards in ten categories, plus its City Book Prizes. Current openings on the juries cover fiction and non-fiction books, poetry, indigenous non-fiction and/or journalism, short stories, short non-fiction, unpublished essays, children’s picture books, plays, memoirs, and its City Book Prizes.
