The 37th annual National Magazine Awards were handed out Friday and Cottage Life was awarded the title of Magazine of the Year.

The publication also took home the gold medal in the How-To and Service: Personal Finance & Business category and a silver medal in the Homes and Gardens category.

Sporstnet grabbed the award for Tablet of the Year and Magazine Website of the Year went to Macleans.ca. Catherine McIntyre was named Best New Magazine Writer for an article she wrote in THIS Magazine entitled Clusterf*ck.

Legion Magazine, Little Brother Magazine and Fshnunlimited (f.u.) were first time winners during Friday’s ceremony.
