In honour of the 2014 Maggie Awards, which is organized by the Manitoba Magazine Publishers Association, readers have been invited to vote for their favourite magazine in the people’s choice category for magazine of the year.

Until Sept. 12, readers can choose between 15 publications that include Kayak, The Cottager and Canada’s History. All voters are entered into a draw to win a subscription to a Manitoba magazine of their choice.


The annual Maggie Awards were created to increase awareness and recognize the achievements of the magazine industry in Manitoba.

This year, 21 magazines and 86 individual entries were submitted for consideration. Finalists will be announced one week before the awards presentation, which takes place on Oct. 2, at the Delta Hotel in Winnipeg.
