The Kit tackles multiple platforms for fall relaunch
Multi-platform beauty and fashion guide The Kit will be unveiling a relaunch of its platforms come September. Readers can expect a new website, digital magazines, weekly paper feature and a shoppable e-newsletter.
“Just as the styles we report on are always changing, so are we,” publisher Giorgina Bigioni said. “We’re always trying to stay ahead of what’s next, and it’s important that all of our platforms allow for the best reader experience. For advertisers, unexpected ad placements across multiple platforms, that are both meaningful and engaging, will enable brands to reach and interact with readers.”
The weekly paper is currently available, while the e-commerce driven e-newsletter publishes on Sept.4 and will be delivered weekly. The Kit’s digital magazine—a series of free interactive beauty guides will debut on Sept. 15 for download by tablet and smartphone on Apple Newsstands. A browser version is available on The Kit’s website.
The Kit includes seven digital beauty guides per year, three weekly e-newsletters and a weekly paper feature in select copies of the Toronto Star, Ottawa Citizen, Montreal Gazette, Calgary Herald, Edmonton Journal and the Vancouver Sun.
A French-language digital and paper edition is published once a month; Le Kit paper via Journal Metro in Montreal and Le Kit magazine on Apple newsstands. There’s also a Chinese-language paper edition published once a month through Sing Tao Daily.
