CMC revamps awards program

Formerly known as the Ace Awards, the annual awards program presented by the Circulation Management Association of Canada (CMC) has been given a makeover as the CMC Awards.

The new lineup of prizes will be handed out June 4 at the CMC Luncheon, held during the 2014 MagNet Conference in Toronto.

Among the changes are a new $1000 award for Lifetime Achievement, a 40% increase for the CMC Scholarship that boosts the prize to $5000, and a new Vendor Award created to celebrate an individual working with a vendor in support of the publishing industry, including those working in distribution, delivery, fulfillment and database support.

In the Audience Development category, gold, silver and bronze prizes will be awarded, recognizing the year's best campaigns from traditional retention programs, newsstand, e-editions and more.

Other categories include Volunteer of the Year (cash prize of $500), and Magazine of the Year.

Submissions are due May 2, 2014. For more information visit CMCAwards.ca.
