Big name in legal publishing world passes away
Stuart Morrison, one of Canada's best know legal publishers, has died.
Morrison, born in 1950, was president of the Cartwright Group, which owned CLB Media (former publisher of Canadian Lawyer) and Canada Law Book. Morrison died Saturday of leukemia, according to an article in Slaw, an online legal magazine.
"Stuart was a real character among Canadian legal publishers, a man of strong views and language, who lived his life with gusto – he would tackle any challenge," wrote Slaw's Simon Chester.
CLB Media was sold to Annex Printing & Publishing last year and Canada Law Book was taken over by Thomson Reuters.
