People in Print: Changes at The Walrus, Eye Weekly and more
Rachel Giese has joined the team at The Walrus as senior editor. Giese most recently worked as senior editor at Chatelaine and has also held editorial positions at Xtra, The Toronto Star, CBC Newsworld and CBC.ca.

Also at The Walrus, Amy Macfarlane has been promoted from associate editor to senior editor at the magazine. Macfarlane joined The Walrus in February 2006 and has also worked at Saturday Night and Quill & Quire.

At Eye Weekly, Shelbie Vermette has been hired as the weekly’s new photo editor. Vermette is a contributing photo editor at Maclean’s and Report on Business and has worked as assistant photo editor at Toronto Life.

Kathryn Hayward
has left her position as senior editor at Toronto Life for a job as assistant editor, life section at The Globe and Mail. Hayward had been with Toronto Life since May, 2000.

Transcontinental Media president Natalie Larivière has joined the ABC Canada Board Committee. Larivière joined Transcontinental Media as president in 2006. Prior to that, she worked as president and CEO of the Quebecor Media Book Group and president and CEO of Groupe Archambault Inc.
