TVA Publications pulls six titles from its roster

TVA Publications has announced that it will no longer publish six of its titles: 150 plans, Animal, Décormag, Le Lundi, MOI&cie and Signé M.

The Quebecor Media subsidiary will instead focus on growing its strongest brands, which include: 7 Jours, La Semaine, TV Hebdo, CHEZ SOI, Coup de pouce, Les idées de ma maison, Canadian Living, ELLE Canada, Elle Québec, Clin d'œil, Canadian Gardening, Style at Home and The Hockey News Magazine

"The Canadian magazine industry is changing rapidly," Lucie Dumas, vice president and publisher, magazines group, TVA Publications, said. "It should be noted that we will maintain a strong presence in every segment – fashion, home decor, cooking, entertainment, etc. – in order to continue meeting the needs of our loyal readers and advertisers."

TVA also believes that putting the focus on its flagship titles will enable advertisers to target their desired audience more effectively within their portfolio of 60 titles.

According to TVA, "this strategic realignment will entail an internal reorganization,  including reassignments and the abolition of 25 positions."
