This Magazine will launch its first annual Alternative University Guide in its November/December issue. It will evaluate environmental practices, disabilities support and progressive academic programs to help students who are parents. It will also include information for students on school’s with the best LGBT rights, best mental health programs, most accessible transit, schools that fight rape culture and schools that have the most active student advocacy clubs.

“We wanted to cover areas mainstream guides don’t and create a resource that would help progressive, lefty students make the best choices for their post-secondary education,” This Magazine editor Lauren McKeon said.

This Magazine is a bi-monthly publication that has covered politics, culture, ideas and arts for over 48 years.
