The finalists for the annual Jack Webster Awards have been announced and three magazine features have come away with nominations. In the Jack Webster Business, Industry and Economics category: Frances Bula in Vancouver Magazine for The Modern Drive-Through, and Matt O’Grady in BC Business for his piece High Hopes.

In the Community Reporting category: Rob Wipond in Focus Magazine for his article entitled Coup de Police.

The Jack Webster Foundation was named after the late broadcaster, considered by many to be one of Western Canada’s most influential reporters, and was established in 1986 with the goal of encouraging excellence in BC journalists.
