First printed edition in four months

Halifax's alternative weekly newspaper, The Coast, released its first print edition in nearly four months . The Hot Summer Guide was available in newsstands across the Halifax area in early July. It's the first printed copy of the publication since March when The Coast laid off 11 full-time staff members and moved online.The Coast claims the pandemic has proven hyper-local coverage is more important than ever.
The Coast is a free alternative weekly newspaper in Nova Scotia. The paper distributes 24,000 copies per week throughout the Halifax Regional Municipality. The publication cancelled its annual Halifax Oyster Festival at the start of Covid-19, but Cost is hopeful it could make a return in October as the city opens back up. .
