Young is not new to the publication, in the Fall 2009 issue he appeared on the cover alongside Tricia Helfer, who starred in The Green Chain— a film Young wrote and directed.  

Previously, Young has written for The Hollywood Reporter, TV Guide, Canadian Screenwriter, The Vancouver Sun and The Georgia Straight. He’s a screenwriter, director, playwright and author and has won a National Magazine award and two Western Magazine awards. He’s a finalist for the Jack Webster award for best radio documentary for his IDEAS documentary- Moby Doll: The Whale That Changed the World and is a three-time WGC award finalist.
