Now Magazine, Toronto's  alternative news weekly, has been bought by Toronto-based Media Central with the intent of building a chain of alternative papers across North America . Now publisher Alice Klein, who will be staying on as Chief Editorial Strategist,thanked the magazine’s readers in an open letter. NOW Magazine reaches 510,000 average weekly unique readers in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. NOW generated Revenues of over $4 million. 
 
 
Media Central Corporation Inc. is an independent and alternative media company that claims to unifies those who choose to reinvent the status quo. By consolidating the currently fragmented independent and alternative media markets.  Media Central’s only other media property is CannCentral.com, a cannabis-based news website launched in 2019 .
