For the 2017 awards year, 197 Canadian magazines from all across the country—English and French, print and digital—entered the best of their editorial and design to the National Magazine Awards, submitting the work of more than 2,000 writers, editors, photographers, illustrators, art directors and other creators. The NMAF’s 150 volunteer judges have nominated a total of 208 submissions from 81 different Canadian magazines for awards in 29 written and visual, editorial and best magazine categories.

Top Magazine Nominations  are ’actualité 13, The Walrus 12, Report on Business 11,FASHION Magazine 9, Toronto Life 9, Maclean’s 7, Dînette 5,Air Canada enRoute 4,Canadian Geographic 4, Chatelaine 4, Eighteen Bridges 4, Hazlitt 4,Inuit Art Quarterly 4,Taddle Creek 4 and Ricardo 4.
