Flare unveiled a redesign with the September 2013 issue
Rogers Media has confirmed that Miranda Purves, editor-in-chief of Flare, is leaving the company and a search for her replacement is underway.

Purves vacates her role at the end of January and plans to relocate stateside to be closer to her family. Formerly based in New York, Purves served as a lifestyle editor at Elle U.S. before joining Flare in the summer of 2012.

Her appointment at the fashion mag was much talked about, with chatter topics running the range from ensuing staff changes, to her lower-key personal style and her eighth-row seat at Fashion Week.

Under Purves's editorship, Flare redesigned and began featuring more decor, travel, food and culture content, looking at fashion through a wider lifestyle lens. Her replacement will be tasked with guiding editorial for Flare's 35th anniversary next year.
