Future plc launches Canadian division

Future plc, the global platform for specialist media, is launching a Canadian division as it seeks to expand across the Atlantic.
Future Canada, based in Toronto, will add more local content, products, and entities to its offerings from 160 titles, to capitalise on data which shows more than 11 million unique monthly users in Canada already enjoying its brands, the company said.

“We’ve seen an explosion in our traffic across all of our sites, particularly in Canada,” said Jason Webby, Future’s chief revenue officer in North America.

“A Canadian location allows Future to create more locally-focused content to grow their audience, while strengthening relationships with advertisers and ad agencies. “Future will also leverage site buyer guides using its proprietary ecommerce platform, HAWK, to help Canadian consumers easily find and purchase featured products.”

Along with Marie Claire, which Future purchased several years ago, the company owns more than 160 media brands.
