Editor-in-Chief Halushak to leave Chatelaine

“Leading Chatelaine for the past seven years has been the highlight of my career,” she said. “It was an honour to carry on the conversation that this iconic brand has been having with Canadian women for the past 97 years.” Halushak transformed the Women of the Year franchise into the Doris Anderson Awards, honouring Canadian women who share the tenacious spirit of the magazine’s most groundbreaking editor. In 2022, she established Chatelaine’s Editorial Fellowship for Racialized Journalists, and this spring, she launched Group Chat, the brand’s first podcast, among other accomplishments.
