Canadian Art has chosen David Balzer as its new editor-in-chief. Balzer will take over for departing EIC Richard Rhodes, who spent 20 years with the magazine.

Balzer has previously written about art and culture for various publications including the Guardian, the Globe and Mail, Artforum, Toronto Life, the Believer, the Walrus, Camera Austria and Modern Painters.
