Zoomer Magazine unveiled its first split run of covers, featuring stars of Downton Abbey. The show makes its season three Canadian debut on Vision TV, a ZoomerMedia property.

Half of the April issue run features Dame Maggie Smith, going out to Canadian subscribers, while the other half features Shirley MacLaine, on U.S. newsstands. Canadian newsstands will display both.

Toronto Life has changed its listings format. Restaurant, bar and food shop owners can now enter their own listings. Four tiers are available, from Basic (free of charge), to Gold, which offers more then $10,000 in advertising value according to a release. Listings and editorial reviews/ratings remain separate.

The FIPP World Magazine Trends 2012/13 edition is now available in Excel data format. The Excel edition includes spreadsheets of all numeric data from the annual book, plus digital edition of the full book (powered by Nxtbook).

TC Media announced a quarterly called Véro, slated to hit Quebec newsstands next fall, in partnership with TV and radio personality Véronique Cloutier. The mag will "take a generous and intimate look at the world women are living in today."

Pierre Karl Péladeau will be appointed chair of Quebecor Media and TVA Group after Serge Gouin retires in May. Robert Dépatie will take over Péladeau's role as president and chief executive officer of Quebecor and Quebecor Media. Quebecor owns Publications TVA, which publishes Atmosphère (Air Transat mag), 7 jours, Chez soi and more.
