Royal treatment from HELLO! Canada

HELLO! Canada is giving the Royal Wedding the royal treatment with two upcoming editions dedicated to the nuptials.

With the big day for Prince William and Kate Middleton fast approaching on April 29, HELLO! Canada is prepared to hit the newsstands just a few days after, said Tracey McKinley, executive publisher.

“Our editorial team is hunkering down to spend Friday and the weekend producing a magnificent weekly package and an SIP, and have done as much early pre-wedding content as they can,” she noted.

She added the special wedding issues “have been in planning for months across editorial, production, logistics and retail teams.” McKinley credits “tremendous support from our wholesaler and distribution partners to get the product on sale within hours of printing.”

On April 21, HELLO! Canada put out a Royal Wedding Walk-up issue.

The special issue following the wedding will be available May 2, with a Royal Wedding Commemorative Issue ready for May 6.

HELLO! Canada’s editor-in-chief, Alison Eastwood, will be in London, England for the entire week of the Royal Wedding, “and will parlay once-in-a-lifetime experience into the pages of Hello! Canada”, states a news release from the publisher.

The regular cover price of HELLO! Canada is $3.99. The May 2, post-wedding issue, will be 164 pages at $6.95. The May 6 commemorative issue will contain 132 pages perfect bound at $9.95, noted Louise Leger, public relations for Rogers Publishing.
