Entries are now being accepted for the 2011 Western Magazine Awards, organized by the Western Magazine Awards Foundation.

New this year, trade magazines entering the awards will no longer be required to have a principle listing in the Business Publications section of CARD. To qualify for Trade Magazine of the Year, a magazine must:
-Be published in Western Canada
-Serve a particular profession or industry
-Have a rate card and active advertising sales team

Entries to the 2011 WMAs close on March 4, fees are $80 plus HST for magazines with circulations above 20,000 and $60 plus HST for magazines with circulations of 20,000 and below.

Awards for the 28 categories will be handed out at the 2011 WMA Gala Reception and Awards Ceremony on Friday, June 17 at the Renaissance Vancouver Hotel Harbourside. Tickets for the event go on sale in May.
