Ciara Hunt leaving Hello! Canada
Rogers-published Hello! Canada is looking for an editor in chief after Ciara Hunt’s recent announcement that she is leaving the magazine.
Hunt joined Hello! Canada in 2006 as editor at large, according to an e-mail from Rogers Publishing senior director of brand communications Suneel Khanna. She was appointed managing editor in 2007 and editor in chief in June 2008. “Under Ciara's leadership, circulation has grown, the quality of the magazine has been terrific, and awareness of Hello! has flourished,” said the note. “She has worked tirelessly and creatively to build the Hello! brand in Canada, solidifying its place with Canadian readers.”
Hunt is moving to Boston with her family after nearly a year of her husband commuting between there and Toronto for work. She will be pursuing career opportunities there once settled.
