Movie Entertainment magazine celebrates its 20th year with its June issue. The magazine covers all matters Hollywood and Hollywood North related.
The June issue doesn’t get a huge 20-year retrospective, but does get a title treatment and is a focus in the editorial note, says editor Deb Wilson. “We felt it would be a little self indulgent and we didn’t want to alienate readers.”

Movie Entertainment's June issue celebrates its 20 years by keeping it business as usual.

Editorial content has changed from celebrity gossip reporting to more of an amalgamator of information and pieces that bring depth to what’s going on. Mostly as a result of the inability to compete with the immediacy of the internet versus a print product, says Wilson.
“After 20 years we know what we do well and what we can bring to the table, and we know we’re a brand that resonates with our readers,” says Wilson. “But it is a continual struggle and we’ll be looking at defining and refining our focus over the next six months and beyond.”
Movie Entertainment magazine is published by Astral Media monthly. It has a paid circulation of 350,000.
