Both issues had great success on the newsstand—a judging component that's worth 50% of the final score in all categories—with the real estate issue moving almost 16,000 units for a final sell-through rate of 59%.
The awards took place at the Old Mill Inn in Toronto as part of Mags University.
The winners in other categories were:
- Small circulation: This Magazine, Sept/Oct 2007
- Mid-size circulation: Vancouver City Guide 2008 (Transcontinental Media)
- Extra-large circulation: Hello! Canada, Dec. 31, 2007 (Rogers Publishing Ltd.)
Glenn Morgan, president and CEO of Coast to Coast Newsstand Services Partnership, was also honoured as the Newsstand Marketer of the Year.
