People in Publishing: TC Media's new V�ro, Reader's Digest, Toronto Life and more
Poirier's role at Véro will be in addition to her current duties as director of content development for consumer solutions. Poirier has helmed other TC women's mags in the past, like Elle Québec and Vita. TV and radio star Cloutier will serve as "muse-in-chief."
Reader's Digest expanded its advertising sales team. Onboard as account managers are: David McGee, formerly of Rogers Media and Sun Media; Rosina DiFelice, from Starcom; and Louise-Hélène Lanctôt, moving from TC Media. Anita Budzilo also comes over, from Canada Post, as digital advertising sales manager.
Food and travel writer Alison Kent has been named editor-at-large for the upcoming Taste of Home Canada.
Toronto Life hired Amy Eaton as creative marketing designer, urban group. Eaton previously worked as a graphic designer at Reich+Petch Design International. Yen Tran was promoted to senior marketing associate, urban group, and Caroline Korycki was promoted to senior manager, marketing and partnerships.
The Oyster Group promoted Jennifer Taylor to vice-president of client services. She has been with the circ management outfit for 10 years, and has held leadership positions in both the circulation and fulfillment departments.
Carley Fortune, former special features editor at The Grid, has moved to The Globe & Mail. She is assistant editor in the Life & Arts section.
