TVA takes home beauty awards, launches new retailer magazine
TVA was in fine style after taking home two awards from the recent P&G Beauty and Grooming Awards in Toronto.
The Montreal-based publisher accepted an award for best magazine cover for the 2011 face of Clin d'oeil which featured designer Jean Paul Gaultier and model Eve Salvail. The Best Male Grooming Feature (French) award went to Clin d'oeil for its feature Mad Male.
The magazine was also a finalist in the categories of best fashion editor, best creative beauty feature (French), best scientific beauty feature (French), best fashion feature (French), and best fashion or beauty blog (French).
The awards show was hosted by Kim Cattrall of Sex and the City fame.
Meanwhile, TVA has announced a new fashion magazine, Sara, designed for retailer Reitmans. Sara will reveal what's new in Reitmans stores with the first issue to feature "must-haves" for the 2011 fall-winter fashion season.
TVA said 200,000 copies of Sara have been printed and inserted into issues of Clin d'oeil (subscribers and newsstand) and St. Joseph Media's Fashion (subscribers only). The frequency of the new magazine hasn't been confirmed yet, however an online version of Sara will also be available as of Nov. 13.
