Fashion magazines fall forecast
A recent article from Media in Canada reports on the fall forecast for Canadian fashion titles. It says fashion books can be seen as a barometer for the magazine industry’s health overall, being the first titles to be cut back during a slowdown yet quick to bounce back.
If that’s the case, then Media in Canada’s report for the fall fashion titles is cautiously optimistic. Fashion magazine, published by St. Joseph Media, is up 10 pages from its September issue last year. Elle Canada is also up 56 pages from its September book last year, says the story. The only title down in the category for the month is Flare, which can be attributed to the special anniversary issue it put out in September of 2009.
