A new publisher takes over at Victoria Boulevard

Sue Hodgson was most recently the publisher of the Peninsula News Review.
Sue Hodgson has replaced owner/founder Evelyn Butler as the publisher of Victoria Boulevard magazine. “I’m hopelessly happy again,” Hodgson writes in the January/February issue of the bimonthly book, “and back where it all started 20 years ago, with my mentor still close at hand.”

Evelyn Butler says it will be a challenge to "pass the baton."
Hodgson, 41, has spent the last fifteen years working the publishing side in the Black Press newspaper chain. She began her career with Butler’s Bay Publishing two decades ago. “I want to make it my first task to say how proud I am to be taking over from Evelyn Butler, and how much I appreciate her ongoing support as we embark on a busy year.”

Butler retains ownership of the title, which has a controlled-circ of about 46,000.  “No, I’m not retiring,” Butler wrote in the November/December issue. “I’ll still be keeping my hand in and making a pest of myself, but being a woman of a ‘certain age,’ it’s time for me to have a little more time for me.”
