Broadview — Canada’s longest running and best special interest magazine — is seeking a full-time (35-hours per week) permanent Circulation and Editorial Administrator to join our dedicated team.

Broadview ( is a multimedia organization focused on spirituality (from a progressive Christian perspective), social justice and ethical living. It is the oldest continuously published magazine in North America, with roots dating back to 1829. In spring 2021, Broadview won “Best Special Interest Magazine” from the National Magazine Awards. The flagship print magazine is published eight times per year and delivered to 25,000 paying subscribers.

As Circulation and Editorial Administrator, you will:

Support the Editor/Publisher (15%)
Organize, attend and take minutes for Broadview’s corporation, board of directors and finance committee meetings (held on Zoom).
Assist in the preparation of federal grant application
Post job opportunities and receive applications

Support the Circulation team (60%)
Process subscription payments; prepare and ship payment deposits to accounting
Track receivables and cancellations
Email, mail or phone subscription reminders
Respond to and track customer service phone calls/emails (incoming and outgoing)
File completed orders
Data entry

Support the Editorial team (15%)
Respond to phone/email inquiries
Assemble and mail contributor/advertiser copies
Update content index
Assemble and submit entries to awards organizations
Assemble tear sheets in preparation for binding
Respond to permission requests

Support the Office (10%)
Liaise with office equipment vendors for repairs and replacements
Maintain office supplies
Handle Purolator shipments
Christmas card mailing

Other duties as required.

What we are looking for:
5-8 years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant post-secondary education and experience
Advanced verbal and written English skills
Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a fast-paced and changing environment with multiple conflicting demands, while maintaining meticulous attention to detail
High level of proficiency and accuracy in Word, Excel, databases, CRM software
Customer service experience
Working conditions:
Pending pandemic considerations, a hybrid working model will be accommodated at our east Toronto office (3 days in office; two at home)
Hours will be traditional office hours

$50,000 plus benefits, pension plan and three weeks’ vacation.
