The Apr/May 2014 cover of Canada’s History is set to hit newsstands on March 24th, 2014.
Art director James Gillespie had this to say:
"The cover artist for Canada’s History's April-May issue is David Seguin. We chose David because of his ability to create characters that have dynamic movement. Even if they are just supposed to be walking they seem to move with intensity and purpose. His painting style is gritty and borders on impressionistic, giving a sense of realism while at the same time making the work seem otherworldly. The Norse character on our cover, who we affectionately have named Wulfgar, seems to be striding out of the mists of time to connect with our readers and take them on a fantastic voyage through Canada’s Arctic region."
The subject of Vikings was used once before (Dec/Jan 2006), which set a new sales record at that time.
