The May/Jun 2013 issue of Legion Magazine is scheduled to hit newsstands on May 6th.

This cover uses an illustration to do the heavy lifting…a big departure for Legion, which typically uses archival photographs for its covers.

  • Nice use of starburst
  • Good use of sky bar area
  • Strong type treatment
  • Uses left side cover ‘real estate’ effectively
  • Purple pops
  • + Sign symbol for extra hooks
  • Soldier’s head overlaps logo and full bleed off top for 3D effect
  • Nice layering throughout
