New Glow
The newly designed Glow Magazine is set to debut. Formerly published by Rogers, it is now published by St. Joseph Media.
The art director, Daniel Mackinnon, says:
“The magazine has been designed with lots of white space with smart editorial entry points. This supports our fresh, modern and uncluttered approach to design. The additional space allows the images and type to come alive before the reader’s eyes, really pulling them into stories.”

I like the old version better - the colours just flow across the cover, whereas the new version is just kind of b/w with neutral tones - not very exciting.

I think the comment made by the art director was more about the inside design. SJM has put Glow back onto PMB which is why I imagine there are more cover lines on the latest one

To be fair, a) that was my favourite Rogers Glow cover I'd seen in ages - Scott's picking the top of the heap - and b) Rogers did that one when they'd already lost the account, I think, and probably felt they had a bit more freedom to play around. That's a very small amount of cover lines for a newsstand mag. I'm looking forward to the new Glow showing up in my mailbox so I can have a look inside.

I'm sad LOL I liked the older version better. It looked more clean.
