Cover of the Week: Lil Wayne
Ouch! It hurts just to look at all those tattoos. Wow! That is one muscular body. I wince. I stare.
If this was a cover for Tattoo Life, I’d predict a huge sales increase. But as powerful an image as this is, I’m not nearly as confident that it will break records for RollingStone.
One thing is for sure: this cover is hard to miss on newsstands.
While I usually feature covers on COVER OF THE WEEK that I think will sell well, sometimes I have to point out covers that manage to cut through the usual clutter and noise.
Note: The Steven Tyler Gets Mean story sounds like fun…and with the media reach of American Idol, it may have been the safer cover boy to go with.
