The publisher of Horse Canada, Horse Sport, and Canadian Thoroughbred, is coming out with a SIP celebrating the 250th year of Horse Racing in Canada.
A full 100 years before the confederation of Canada, the first advertised horse race took place in 1767 on the Plains of Abraham. From humble beginnings as an amusing pastime for soldiers, horse racing in Canada developed into a massive industry thanks to the passionate involvement and contributions of Canadians from coast-to-coast. Their influence will be documented in this exclusive glossy publication which will feature the people, horses and pivotal moments in the history of Thoroughbred and Standardbred racing that made the sports what they are today. Proceeds from the sale of this publication will be donated to the Horse Racing Hall of Fame in support of their work in preserving the sport’s heritage.
It goes on sale May 8th 2017, and retails for $11.99.
Art Director Sieu Truong created a fabulous “can’t miss it” cover.” Hear her talk about it at the MagNet Conference.
