The changing landscape of content publishing has seen Quebecor Media Group evolve (who own TVA) into a multi-platform publisher that includes French language television programming. They offer Club illico a Netflix like video on demand service and Yoopa a children’s cable tv channel. Quebecor Content is a wholly owned business unit of Quebecor Media, that creates, develops, acquires, distributes and exports distinctive, high-quality audio-visual content, providing consumers with a multi-platform experience via the services of Videotron and TVA Group, all while promoting Quebec artists at home and abroad.
Quebecor Content announced on December 12 that it has renewed through Corus Entertainment its major agreement with media giant Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN), one of the world's largest producers and distributors of youth content, with brands that are immensely popular among children and teenagers in over 160 countries. With this new agreement, Quebecor Content will be furthering its children's and youth offerings on Yoopa and Club illico, thereby solidifying their respective ranking as the number one platforms in Quebec for youth and family television and subscription video-on-demand.

Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN), a unit of Viacom Inc. (NASDAQ: VIA, VIAB), is comprised of many of the world’s most popular multimedia entertainment brands, including MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, BET, Paramount Channel, VH1, VIVA and COLORS. Viacom brands are seen globally in more than 600 million households in 170 territories and 37 languages via more than 200 locally programmed and operated TV channels and more than 550 digital media and mobile TV properties.
This is all part of the trend in the media landscape to offer multi-platform content and the growing use of video online by consumers in the digital age by all the major media companies.
