PWAC names Peggy Berkowitz editor of the year
 
The Professional Writers Association of Canada (PWAC) presented University Affairs' Peggy Berkowitz with an award for Editor of the Year at the PWAC Writing Awards ceremony last week at MagNet.

Berkowitz has been with University Affairs since 1994, when she joined as associate editor, and took on the role of editor in 2001. She edged out Editor of the Year honourable mention recipients Allison Finnamore of Farm Credit Canada and AgriSuccess and Heather White of Saltscapes.

PWAC awards also went out to writer Georgie Binks in the Features category for her Reader's Digest story "Tough Love", and Jackie Middleton in Short Articles for Best Health Magazine's "Unlock the Secrets of Your Family Tree".
