Briefs & Bookmarks: RRJ, OMDC, Village Living and more
 
The Ryerson Review of Journalism is moving from two issues a year to one larger annual, coming out each spring. According to publisher Ivor Shapiro, the change will save costs and allow for longer investigative pieces.

Village Living marked its first anniversary with the announcement of Village Living, Mt. Pleasant, a new mag launching April that will be delivered to Toronto's Davisvile Village, Moore Park, Leaside and Rosedale neighbourhoods. 

Dakai Maritimes launched in Halifax. The quarterly title is reportedly the first to be aimed at Chinese-speaking people in the Maritimes. Meng Zhao, formerly of TC Media, is publisher and owner.

 
BC Business
started a daily online newsletter and rolled out a new website, as well as announced an iPad edition dropping mid-March. The Canada Wide Media publication is celebrating its 40th year.
