BCAMP annual general meeting creates new board, announces changes
The annual general meeting of the British Columbia Association of Magazine Publishers meant the announcement of many changes for the organization, including a name change.

A brand refresh in the logo and name of the association has been registered. Under the new name, the Magazine Association of BC, the organization hopes to appear more inclusive to industry partners and more memorable to the general public and corporate sponsors. The website, stationery and logo for member magazines will be rolled out in September.

The association also announced the continued funding for its office distribution program has been denied under the Canada Periodical Fund. The program involved monthly, bi-monthly and controlled circulation of member magazines to 200 medical, dental and legal offices in the Lower Mainland of B.C. Association executive director Rhona MacInnes says the organization is looking for innovative solutions to continue the program in another form.

Patrick Mackenzie, Managing Editor, subTerrain
