Gripped Inc., a Toronto-based independent publishing company with three titles, Canadian Running, Gripped: The Climbing Magazine and Triathlon Magazine Canada, will now outsource its subscription fulfillment operations to CDS Global.
"As a smaller publisher, we are eager to take advantage of state-of-the-art solutions that are used for larger publishers in Canada and around the world," Sam Cohen, publisher of Gripped Inc., said in a release.
Cohen and his company launched Canadian Running, one of the most successful new magazines of 2008, back in February.
The magazine has an average total circulation around 31,000, with average single copy sales of 19,451, according to the publisher. The premiere issue sold 9,245 copies on the newsstand, with a sell-through efficiency of 37.2%, according to Coast to Coast Newsstand Services Partnership. And ad rates have also been upped: The one-time full-page rate for the launch was $3,400; the price is now $4,320.
