UGC, CMS, SEO: The acronym-filled world of online publishing is a strange and exciting place for everyone in the magazine business, from publishers and editors, to circulators and salespeople. To help you navigate it, MastheadOnline is now syndicating the appropriately titled Magazines Online blog, written by Kat Tancock, Web editor at Best Health and former Web editor at Canadian Living. She teaches the course Creating Website Editorial in the Magazine Publishing program at Ryerson University.

In her first week of blogging, Kat reviewed several website relaunches from Transcontinental Media and provided links to informative articles about building community, choosing the right content management system (CMS) and online content strategies from south of the border.
