Account Manager, Custom Content:

Moongate Publishing is looking for an account manager to drive custom content sales and idea-led partnerships with marketers and media buyers. We’re seeking both the sales architect and the producer. That’s why this is a great role for someone who is ready to move up and run their own show, or who tried the sales management gig and misses the hand-to-hand combat of direct selling. So you have to be down with rolling up your sleeves for this role. As such, you must have experience in selling solutions in and around branded content/custom content and native advertising. This means you’re fluent in current content marketing trends, including native advertising and white-label content. We also seek someone with deep relationships with Canadian brands and marketing firms to facilitate initial sales and opportunities.

You will be responsible for representing custom and branded content opportunities from Moongate's diverse portfolio of properties and creative capabilities across multiple platforms. You will leverage your wide range of relationships with clients and content decision-makers

You will work directly with the Moongate executive in coordinating account strategies and sales opportunities


Sell cross-portfolio branded content programs that can be distributed across social, digital and events

Deliver on revenue budget requirements & drive revenue thru key clients/agencies who invest in content marketing initiatives

Work closely with Moongate's internal creative and design teams to bring new branded content products and solutions to clients

Develop strong advertiser relationships in the branded content space

Direct accounts from proposal through post-analysis, while collaborating with internal creatives and external clients to ensure best possible client experience

Create and present proposals to secure business, utilizing guidelines set by Moongate's strategy and planning teams

Speak knowledgeably to a wide range of content solutions, from a wide range of Moongate's properties, platforms and capabilities


Deep content-led, digital native sales experience, with a track record of regularly exceeding sales goals

8+ years of experience developing senior brand client and content/creative/digital/social agency relationships

Understanding of how to monetize branded content, especially in social media and across digital platforms

Understanding of the creative development, sell-through and activation process for branded content

Knowledge of digital and social content marketplace

Entrepreneurial and/or startup experience—combined with experience working at a big media company—is a plus

This is a commission based opportunity with a generous compensation structure.
